An Open Letter to Vice Chancellor

The SRC condemns Western Sydney University’s ongoing partnerships with weapons companies which are complicit in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The SRC demands that all partnerships between Western Sydney University and weapons manufacturers Lockheed Martin, Thales, Raytheon and BAE Systems be ended.
NSW Nurses and Midwives Deserve More
Than A Measly Pay Deal (May)
The SRC supports the original claim by the NSWNMA for a 35% pay increase.
The SRC opposes the Labor government’s continued denial of better conditions for nurses and midwives.
Australia makes explosives for Israel,
WSU must cut ties with Thales! (June)
The SRC condemns the Australian Government’s active participation in the
production of explosives for Israel.
The SRC demands that all partnerships with weapons company Thales, including work on the Astrosite through the International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems
be ended.
Stop demolitions at Waterloo: oppose Chris Minns and Rose Jackson’s war on public housing (June)
The SRC condemns the sale of public housing and eviction of over 3000 tenants at Waterloo South by the NSW Labor government.
The SRC calls for all existing public housing stock to remain in public hands and carry on repairs and refurbishment without disruptive relocation of tenants.
The SRC calls for immediate construction of 100% publicly-owned housing stock to meet the needs of the public housing waitlist.
We must fight, not accommodate,
One Nation and the far right (June)
The SRC sees the rise of One Nation’s as a serious far right threat which students and their organisations must combat.
The SRC condemns the rise of anti-migrant and anti-Indigenous racism and Islamophobia in Australian society.
The SRC opposes the normalisation of the far right and commits to opposing any accommodation or concession to their politics by other political parties.
